The SBG Birmingham Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition team traveled to Nashville to compete in the IBJJF tournament and represented their team and Spartan Fitness MMA with worthy performances. The team walked away with a total of three gold medals, three silver medals, and two bronze medals!
The competition was fierce, with many top-level competitors from around the country participating. The SBG Alabama team showed skill, discipline, and heart, which ultimately led to their successes in the tournament. The team’s success In Nashville has only motivated them further as they prepare for more upcoming competitions.
The next event on the schedule is our in-house tournament, the Gorilla Cup, which will take place on April 29th here at Spartan Fitness MMA in Birmingham, AL. The competition will provide the team with an opportunity to fine-tune their techniques and strategies in a safe and friendly competition environment before the AGF tournament, which will be held in Birmingham on May 13th. We strongly encourage everyone that is in our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program to participate in the Gorilla Cup whether you are interested in future competition or not.
